HOW TO SUBMIT
Attn: This form uses Google Docs. If you have trouble accessing it, please contact us at sdpevents@decisionprofessionals.com
We invite you to submit a proposal for the 2027 SDP Annual Conference & Workshops. Please submit complete proposals — full abstracts are required.
See submission guidelines below for details on what to include.
Submissions are open for Presentations, Panel Discussions, and Posters. Each submission should include:
- Author Bio (150 words or fewer)
- Author Headshot
- Abstract with Title (200–250 words) — may be edited or refined if selected
Once submitted, your proposal enters the review queue immediately. If additional information is needed, you will be contacted directly.
Tips for a Strong Submission
For All Submissions:
- Lead with the "so what." Reviewers read many proposals. Open with why your topic matters and what attendees will walk away knowing or doing differently.
- Be specific. Vague titles and abstracts are harder to evaluate. "How We Reduced Decision Cycle Time by 40% at a Fortune 500" is stronger than "Improving Organizational Decision-Making."
- Connect to the theme. The strongest submissions speak directly to Clarity Amid Complexity: Better Decisions for a Dynamic World. Show how your work helps people decide better under uncertainty or change.
- Write for a mixed audience. SDP attracts practitioners, researchers, and executives. Avoid jargon that only one group will recognize.
- Your abstract doesn't have to be perfect. It can be edited or refined if your proposal is selected — clarity of idea matters more than polish at this stage.
For Posters
- Think visually from the start. The best posters tell a clear story at a glance — one central finding or idea, supported by evidence.
- Posters are conversation starters, not dissertations. Plan for a 2–3 minute verbal summary you can deliver to someone standing in front of it.
- Outstanding posters are eligible for sponsored recognition and awards — make it count.
